This kitchen renovation gave a local coastal townhouse a completely new look in just 1 week!

An out-dated terracotta-tiled and closed off kitchen designed in the 90’s, became a stunning Shake Style kitchen with an open plan that will stand the test of time with it’s traditional look. The original design was so outdated with its terracotta tiles, much like a lot of the homes along the Sunshine Coast built in the 90s to late 00s.

This kitchen was completed in just 5 days: kitchen ripped out on Monday, cabinets were installed on Wednesday and stone was installed on Friday. So there was no inconvenience caused to the customer’s lifestyle, which they were very happy about!

The tiles were laid over with vinyl rather than jack hammering them up, saving a huge amount of dust and also meant the architrave and skirts didn’t need to be replaced either.

• This Shaker Style renovation is based on an uncluttered and orderly approach to kitchen cabinetry design. Everything has a purpose and place in this kitchen! This kitchen also has simple lines and understated elegance that will stand the test of time.
• The Shaker Style kitchen cabinet design is a five-piece door with a recessed center panel and Shaker Style handles.
• The colour scheme of this kitchen has remained neutral to make sure the kitchen is sleek and stylish.
• An island bench was adopted in the centre of the room to allow more accessibility, preparation area, storage and seating area. It also widely contributes to the open plan it gives the space.
• This kitchen is a traditional take on the “Shaker Style”, with details such as vintage light switches.
• Mitch helped bring this renovation to life during the design stages with his 3D sketches to help see the vision!
• This kitchen cost $30k and has increased the value of this beachside townhouse by $175k! The customer is beyond happy with the result and the way it completely transformed the look of their home on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
